  What is the reason why the water pump of the 500 ton chiller cannot come out after installation?

  1. The speed of the water pump is too low

  The equipment failure of the water pump itself results in loose nuts between the impeller and the pump shaft, deformation and bending of the pump shaft, causing the impeller to move and directly causing friction with the pump body, resulting in bearing damage and directly reducing the pump speed.

  2. Motor burned out

  The motor winding is burnt out, leading to demagnetization of the motor. Changes in the number of turns, wire diameter, and wiring method of the neutral line during maintenance, as well as unclear faults during maintenance, can also lead to a change in the speed of the water pump.

  3. Excessive water pump suction

  Some water sources have relatively flat terrain on the periphery, while others are located at a deeper depth, neglecting the allowable suction head of the water pump, resulting in less water absorption and inability to absorb water at all. We need to be aware that the vacuum level at the suction port of the water pump is limited, with an absolute vacuum suction head of approximately 10 meters of water column height. However, the water pump cannot create an absolute vacuum.

  And if the vacuum value is too high, it will cause the water inside the water pump to vaporize, which is not conducive to the operation of the water pump. Each type of water pump has its maximum allowable suction head, approximately between 3 and 8.5 meters. When installing a water pump, do not just try to save trouble and convenience.

  4. The pipeline is too long and there are too many bends

  Some customers have accurately measured that although the vertical distance from the reservoir or water tower to the water surface of the water source is slightly lower than the head of the chiller water pump, the water output is still small or unable to come out. The main reason is still that the pipeline is too long, there are too many bends in the water pipe, and the resistance of water flow in the pipeline is too high.

  A 90 degree bend has greater resistance compared to a 120 degree bend, and the head loss of a 90 degree bend is approximately 0.5 to 1 meter. Some customers also use the diameter of the inlet and outlet pipes of the water pump at will, which will have an impact on the head.

  5. Human

  Some customers, due to damage to the original electric motor, randomly add a motor to use, resulting in low flow rate, low head, or no water ingress.

  6. Blockage

  The bottom valve of the water pump cannot be opened, the impeller is severely worn, the filter screen of the refrigerator water pump bottom valve is blocked, the filter screen is blocked due to the water pump bottom valve being in the sludge layer in the water, and the failure or blockage of the stop valve or check valve can also lead to a decrease in flow and no water output. Leakage of the inlet and outlet pipelines can also affect the water output.
