What are the Lubrication Methods for Industrial Chillers?
During the operation of the industrial chiller, the compressor of the equipment sucks the low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant in the evaporator into the compressor. Under the action of the compressor, the temperature of the low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant rises, and its Transported to the condenser, the high-pressure and high-temperature refrigerant encounters cooling water or air for heat exchange, thereby transferring heat to the cooling water or air, allowing the refrigerator to release heat.
The refrigerant in the high-pressure state will enter the evaporator after the pressure-reducing effect of the throttle valve. Inside the evaporator, the low-pressure and low-temperature refrigerant will absorb the heat of the refrigerant water, and the temperature of the refrigerant water will drop, thus forming The chilled water needed for production.
The operation of an industrial chiller is inseparable from a well-lubricated internal system. We can use various methods to lubricate the system in combination with the structural characteristics of the compressor:
- Drip oil lubrication method. Use the oil cup and the oil pipeline to deliver the lubricating oil to the corresponding position, or use the oil pot to add the lubricating oil.
- Pressure lubrication method. Use a mechanical method to automatically add lubricating oil to the parts that need to be lubricated. This method is generally used in industrial chillers with crosshead compressors.
- Spray-in lubrication method. The sprayed oil mist follows the gas into the parts of the system that need to be lubricated. This method is mostly used in high-pressure compressors, screw compressors, and super-sliding vane compressors.
- Oil ring lubrication method. By using the rotating shaft to drive the oil ring on the shaft, the oil ring can bring the oil in the oil pool into the bearing, so as to achieve the function of lubrication.
The above are the more commonly used lubrication methods for industrial chillers. Each lubrication method has its own special requirements and must not be used indiscriminately.
