What are the Precautions for Installing a Chiller?
Chiller is a kind of water cooling equipment, which can provide constant temperature, constant flow and constant pressure cooling equipment. The principle of the chiller is to inject a certain amount of water into the internal water tank of the machine, cool the water through the chiller refrigeration system, and then the water pump inside the machine injects low-temperature frozen water into the equipment that needs to be cooled, and the chilled water transfers the heat inside the machine Take it away, and return the high-temperature hot water to the water tank again to cool down, so that the cooling is circulated and exchanged to achieve the effect of cooling the equipment.
Chillers are widely used in plastics, electroplating, electronics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, printing, food processing and other industrial refrigeration processes that require the use of chilled water, or can also be used for villas, restaurants, hotels, institutions, schools, factories, etc. The space offers air-conditioned areas for comfort. Chillers are so widely used, do you know the precautions for installing chillers?
Protective measures must be taken when the chiller is being transported. Avoid excessive tilting of the chiller during transport and damage. Pay attention to the following points when installing the chiller:
- Before installing the chiller, please choose a place with a stable foundation, unobstructed surrounding air, avoid corrosion pollution, and less oil and gas. When installing outdoors, the canopy should be more than two meters away from the air outlet of the chiller. If the surrounding air is found to be stuffy , Please install an exhaust fan to maintain air convection, so as to increase the service life of the chiller and improve efficiency.
- When installing the chiller, be careful not to damage the unit, and arrange the space around the chiller reasonably to facilitate the maintenance and maintenance of the chiller.
- Select the matching cooling tower according to the cooling capacity of the chiller. The installation of the chiller pipeline should be installed according to the diameter of the pipe. Do not reduce the diameter of the chilled water pipe, otherwise it will cause high pressure overload, affect the quality effect and increase power consumption. quantity.
After the pipeline connection of the chiller is completed, the power supply of the chiller needs to be connected. Pay attention to the following points:
- The power supply of the chiller adopts a three-phase three-wire or three-phase four-wire system. The power wire (R.S.T) is connected to the live wire of the power supply, (N) is connected to the neutral wire, and (D) is grounded.
- The main power supply of the chiller is connected to the terminal in the box through the perforation on the electric control box to ensure that the connection is tight.
- Chiller power distribution requirements:
Main power supply voltage: within ±10% of rated voltage;
Main power frequency: within ±2% of the rated frequency.
- When the voltage fluctuation of the main power supply exceeds the specified range, it is forbidden to start the chiller, otherwise it will cause serious damage to the unit.
- The chiller is equipped with various protective measures such as power overload protection and power protection, high and low pressure protection at the compressor exhaust end.
