  How to deal with insufficient water flow in the water cooled chiller?

  The temperature control of the production process is imbalanced, even leading to severe production problems and accidents. In general, in the development and design of chillers, fault self-locking devices are designed, such as water flow shortage, high voltage alarm, water pump current protection, and other protective functions, to avoid irreversible damage caused by continuous operation of the equipment after the fault occurs.

  The following are the reasons for the occurrence of water flow deficiency codes and their solutions. Manufacturers who use chillers can refer to them to identify the causes of the problems, which is more conducive to quickly solving the problem and resuming production. The water pump or pipeline is abnormal, and the water flow cannot supply the water pump. In the water circulation of the chiller, it is a device that provides power, and if it does not work or appears abnormal.

  If the cooling water cannot be delivered to the equipment cooling pipeline, it will form a water flow shortage problem; In addition, the cooling water pipeline is blocked, causing water circulation to be blocked, which also leads to a lack of water flow. Possible cause of formation: reverse water pump; Water pump circuit open circuit; Impeller or water pipe blocked or damaged; Solution: Correct the rotation of the water pump motor, clean the water pump or impeller, clean the water pipe, clean the filter, check the water pump seal, and check the water inflow.

  1. Is the cooling water pipe connected in reverse

  There are two types of cooling water pipes: inlet and outlet pipes, one for cold water and the other for hot water, and their specifications are not the same. When the inlet and outlet pipes are connected in reverse, different diameter inlet pipes will produce different water flows. So connecting the inlet and outlet cooling pipes in reverse can also cause insufficient water flow fault codes to appear.

  Solution: After the equipment is shut down, replace and install the inlet and outlet pipes again.

  2. Abnormal water pump or pipeline, unable to supply water flow

  The water pump is a device that provides power in the water circulation of the chiller. If it does not operate or malfunctions, the cooling water cannot be delivered to the cooling pipeline of the equipment, which will cause insufficient water flow failure; In addition, if the cooling water pipeline is blocked, causing water circulation to be blocked, there will also be insufficient water flow.

  Possible causes:

  Reverse direction of water pump; Water pump circuit open circuit; Impeller or water pipe blocked or damaged;

  Solution: Correct the rotation of the water pump motor, clean the water pump or impeller, clean the water pipe, clean the filter, check the water pump seal, and check the water intake.
