What should be paid attention to when selecting a refrigerated chiller?
What should be paid attention to when selecting a refrigerated chiller?
1、 Refrigeration capacity
The refrigeration capacity of a freezer is directly related to the normal use of production equipment and operational efficiency.
If the cooling capacity is small, the ideal cooling effect cannot be achieved, from reducing production efficiency to increasing operating energy consumption, and then to the inability of production equipment to operate normally, resulting in production line downtime.
However, if the selection is too large, it will waste energy and increase operating costs. In addition, the larger the refrigeration capacity of a freezer, the higher the price of the freezer. Therefore, selecting the matching cooling capacity is crucial.
2、 Frozen water volume
Frozen water is cooled cold water that directly acts on the cooling area. However, due to the size of the water flow rate, it directly affects the heat exchange effect.
The flow rate is calculated based on the material, density, and heat exchange ratio of the cooling area. Some equipment has clear requirements for the cooling flow rate because it cannot be cooled due to insufficient water. Therefore, the water flow is directly related to the operation of the cooler and the cooling effect of the production equipment.
3、 Inlet and outlet temperature
When production equipment or raw materials need to be cooled during the production and processing process, there will be a temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the pipeline connecting the chiller and the production equipment. This temperature difference is the actual heat generated by the production equipment, which can be accurately calculated and selected for the chiller.
4、 Understand the volume, weight, specific heat, and density of cooling equipment or production and processing raw materials.
This can quickly and effectively calculate the cooling capacity of the required freezer. At the same time, writing down the time it takes for the initial temperature of the cooling material to decrease to the target temperature is also a method of calculating the cooling capacity.
Another approach is to clearly know the maximum or minimum temperature required for production equipment or materials to avoid affecting them.
5、 Cooling medium
Cooling media generally include tap water, ethylene glycol solution, oil, seawater, food and beverage, etc.
6、 Do users want air-cooled or water-cooled
Although both air-cooled and water-cooled freezers are freezers, the cooling method of the unit itself is different, so the installation method is also different.
The air-cooled type is more convenient. Connect the water pipe and power supply to operate, but the cooling effect is slightly worse than that of a water-cooled freezer.
Due to the fact that the cooling method of air-cooled freezer is air, which is greatly affected by environmental temperature, the assembly and installation position also needs to leave space around the freezer.
