Cooling Methods of Chillers – Direct Cooling and Indirect Cooling

The refrigeration principle of the chiller directly freezing in the electroplating (oxidation) industry is that the water in the bottom basin of the cooling tower is transported to the condenser of the chiller through the water pump to cool the condenser, and then flows back to the cooling tower to spray down through the cooling tower. An overhead fan cools the water and returns it to the cooling tower bottom basin. While the condenser is dissipating heat, the refrigerant inside is liquefied, and then flows into the evaporator for evaporation. And the evaporation will absorb heat, so the sulfuric acid (tank) is cooled, and the cooled sulfuric acid will be transported to the electroplating (oxidation) tank through the water pump, which is a cycle process of direct cooling of industrial chillers. Cool down fast.
The refrigeration principle of the chiller’s indirect freezing in the injection molding and electroplating (oxidation) industries is that the water in the bottom basin of the cooling tower is transported to the condenser of the chiller through the water pump to cool the condenser. When it flows back into the cooling tower and sprays down, the water is cooled down by the fan on the top of the cooling tower, and then flows back to the bottom basin of the cooling tower, and the operation is repeated. While the condenser is dissipating heat, the refrigerant inside is liquefied, and then flows into the evaporator for evaporation. When evaporating, it needs to absorb heat, thereby cooling the water in the water tank. open, while water and sulfuric acid,), and then through the process of heat transfer, the sulfuric acid is cooled down, and it is such a cycle process. The advantages of this product are that it is easy to install, has a relatively long service life compared to direct cooling, and is not easy to corrode the chiller by acid and alkali. But the cooling rate is not as fast as direct cooling.
It can be seen from the above that the direct cooling of the chiller is slightly better than the indirect cooling speed, but it is obvious that the direct cooling chiller is not as safe as the indirect cooling chiller, and the former equipment is easy to corrode and has a shorter lifespan. . However, compared with the service life of the two, the indirect cooling chiller is several times longer than the direct cooling chiller, and the value of the indirect cooling chiller can be calculated from this.
