Selection, Configuration and Application of Industrial Chillers

There are many processing plants that use industrial chillers, but many friends don’t know how to choose the unit when they buy the unit. If they want to achieve an effective cooling effect, then when choosing a model, they should master its configuration. And the model can also meet the application of the industry. So now I will give you some simple selection, configuration and application knowledge.

Selection:

First of all, you should know which types the unit can be divided into. Usually, manufacturers divide the units they produce into two types: water-cooled and air-cooled. Both models have their own characteristics and applications.

The air-cooled chiller itself contains an insulated water tank and a water pump, and does not need an additional cooling tower for heat dissipation, so it is very convenient to install or move. However, its working environment has relatively high requirements.

Because it relies on air circulation for cooling, it has high requirements on the ventilation effect of the installed workshop. If the ventilation in the workshop is not good, it will affect the cooling effect. If the workshop you process requires temperature and humidity, then It is not suitable for installing an air-cooled unit, because the unit will generate water vapor during operation.

Water-cooled units can be divided into open type, sealed type and screw type. When the unit is installed, additional cooling towers and water pumps are required. The open type unit is replaced with a water tank outside, while the sealed type does not need a water distribution tank, because there is a built-in water tank inside. The open unit is usually installed outside the workshop, which can facilitate future maintenance and inspection. The sealed unit belongs to the box structure, which is easy to install and move. But if the demand for cooling capacity is large, you can choose a screw unit.

Configuration:

  1. Compressor;
  2. Water pump;
  3. Computer PC board, currently most of the touch controls are used;
  4. Temperature controller and temperature control electronic board: display the temperature control situation through the LCD screen;
  5. Expansion valve;
  6. Filter;
  7. Circuit system;
  8. Safety protection system, including compressor overload protection system, motor reverse protection and indicator light, compressor delay start protection, water pump overload and indicator light, refrigerant shortage protection and indicator light, fault alarm machine, etc.
