How to Take Antifreeze Protection Measures for Industrial Chillers in Winter?

The temperature is low in winter. We know that many machinery and instruments need antifreeze protection measures, and industrial chillers are no exception.

As a professional production auxiliary equipment, industrial chiller water is constantly expanding its application fields. From light industries such as food processing, textiles, printing and papermaking to heavy industries such as vehicle manufacturing, machine tool production, chemical metallurgy, etc., cooling processes are required. Industrial chilled water The machine can guarantee the smooth development of its production.

In winter, the processing and production of enterprises should take protective measures for industrial chillers to avoid sudden failures during operation.

The condensers used in some industrial chillers are of the shell-and-tube type. When the cooling water flows through the condenser tube layer, it will be connected to the cooling water tower. In winter, in order to prevent the cooling water in the cooling tower from freezing due to low temperature, a certain amount of antifreeze can be added to the cooling tower.

In order to avoid freezing of the cooling tower, when the industrial chiller is shut down, the drain valve should be opened to allow the condenser of the cooling tower to drain water.

When using industrial chillers in winter, there are some daily maintenance that cannot be missed. for example:

  1. Some protective devices of the equipment are generally set by the manufacturer before leaving the factory, and the user should not change them casually.
  2. Regularly clean the cooling water tower to prevent sundries from entering it, so as not to affect the performance of heat dissipation.
  3. If it is not an emergency, the power supply of the industrial chiller should not be turned off casually during operation. If the equipment needs to be shut down for a long time in winter, it is necessary to cut off the power supply of the unit and then cut off the main power supply.
  4. Clean the condenser regularly, and keep the installation environment of the unit clean and ventilated.
