Reasons for Frosting of Low Temperature Chiller

When using a low-temperature chiller, there will be frosting. Although the frosting problem will not immediately cause the equipment to be unusable, if it has not been dealt with, it will affect the cooling effect of the equipment.

If you find that the chiller has severe frosting, you first need to understand the cause of the frosting. Let’s take a look at it in detail:

  1. The evaporator of the chiller cannot absorb heat normally, or the cold generated by the evaporator cannot be taken away, resulting in low pressure and liquid return temperature, resulting in continuous frosting at the air return port of the compressor towards the evaporator.
  2. The amount of refrigerant in the equipment is abnormal, resulting in low evaporation temperature, which in turn leads to condensation on the evaporator.
  3. If the design of the throttling element is unreasonable, or the throttling element is not adjusted properly, the refrigerant will return to the compressor and frost will occur.
  4. If the return pipe of the refrigeration system of the low-temperature chiller is blocked, it will affect the heat dissipation function of the evaporator and cause frosting.

The above is the introduction of the reasons for the frosting of the low-temperature chiller. If the equipment is found to be frosted, it needs to be defrosted in time.
