The Role of Compressors in Different Chillers
The compressor in the chiller is a necessary component of refrigeration, and a good refrigeration effect is inseparable from a good compressor. The following is an analysis of the different effects of different characteristics of different compressors on the cooling effect.
First, the importance of the compressor
In the pipeline, the function of the compressor is to compress the gas into a liquid, so that the temperature and pressure of the liquid are higher, so as to exchange heat with other liquids and transmit energy to the pipeline. Without a compressor, the medium in the pipeline cannot work.
Second, compressor classification
⑴ According to the working principle, it is divided into volume type and speed type (turbine).
⑵Pressure conveying medium: air compressor, nitrogen compressor, oxygen compressor, hydrogen compressor, etc.
(3) According to the exhaust gas pressure, it is divided into low pressure (0.3~1.0 MPa), medium pressure (high pressure (10~1000 MPa) MPa), ultra high pressure (>100 MPa)
⑷ According to the structure type, it is divided into: compressor, volume type and speed type. Volume-rotary (including screw type, sliding vane type, Roots type), reciprocating type (including piston type and diaphragm type). Velocity – centrifugal, axial, jet and hybrid.
Third, the characteristics of different compressors
Reciprocating piston compressors are widely used, and can be designed for low pressure, medium pressure, high pressure, and ultra-high pressure, and the discharge capacity hardly changes when the discharge pressure fluctuates.
- Piston compressor runs smoothly due to the rotation of the piston. In addition, the rotary air compressor does not contain gap volume, is not affected by air, has high compression efficiency, fewer parts, small size, light weight, good balance performance, low noise, perfect protection measures, and low energy consumption.
- Scroll compressor Scroll compressor has novel structure, precise structure, small size, low noise, light weight, small vibration, low energy consumption, long service life, continuous and stable gas transmission, and reliable operation.
Through the analysis of various types of compressors and cooling effects summarized above, it is proved that the different characteristics of different compressors have different effects on the cooling effect, and choosing the appropriate compressor can achieve the best cooling effect.
